Protection Plan for my D80

Do you think i should get my protection plan with my D80, its $150 for 2 years, basically i dont need to ship stuff back to nikon i can send it to circuit city and they give me a new one and take care of it. I normally dont get these things but, the mention of the dead pixels so frequently kind of scares me.

Would they give you a new one if it has a few dead pixels? They might not.

Yea, they did it with my LCD TV dead pixels are in the protection plan, i will make sure that dead pixels are covered in the protection plan, but if they are do you think its worth thr 150.00?

Hard to say. Usually, I hate those 'extended warranty' things...especially if they are more than 5-10% of the cost of the item. It's up to you.

I've had a DSLR for a couple years and I haven't seen any dead pixels (knock on wood). My gear is all covered by my home owner's insurance policy.
