PS4 help real quick?

Not sure if this is the right place, but I'm frustrated and annoyed right now. PS won't open any images all of the sudden? I'm thinking I must have clicked on something that just made them not capable of being seen b/c it shows in recent images the shots that I have tried to edit, but they are not actually showing up? Nothing to do with file or anything, I tried to open something I just edited yesterday with no problem and it won't show that either. Is there a hide button I'm missing or something??? sheesh.

To reset Photoshop 'Preferences' back to the defaults, close CS4.

Click to restart CS4, and immediately hold down the Ctrl+Alt+Shift keys.

I restarted it a few times with no luck, so I restarted my whole computer and THEN it worked?!?!?!? Strange.
