Hand applied emulsion on Revere Platinum paper, contact printed with a digital negative. This requires no film (though you can certainly use film) nor a traditional darkroom. Mine is a "dim"room lit with LED lights that allow me to read a book while I wait for the print to develop and clear. The only drawback to this particular alternative process is the cost of the chemistry. If you want to get into doing this, start with Cyanotype, Chemistry is quite inexpensive and the developer is plain old water. Exposures for all these alt processes can be done with sunlight or a UV box. Pt is Platinum and Pd is Palladium. Sometimes they are done straight Pt or Pd but most times mixed.Very nice! I don't know much about film developing, or this pt/pd work, but I sure do like it.
Thanks for the info. Very helpful. Might have to give it try someday.Hand applied emulsion on Revere Platinum paper, contact printed with a digital negative.
