Raj, yes there is nothing common about the Common Grackle imho. I think you are right, there is a bit of a cast on it, getting him right so he didn't look "mushy" and get the separation in the feathers and no overwhelming shadows was tricky, I may have gone too far.

These are a beautiful bird in the colour and detail department, well caught with the puffing up, that always makes me smile with the feathers . Really love the comp and the setting in this Judi, nice balance IMO.
