Pump Fire (Wildfire Photography)

It's wildfire season here in California, and I'm lucky to have a good working relationship with our fire departments. I was allowed to hike into the fire with the crews to get amazing shots.

My two favorites:

The helicopter had just landed and unloaded this specialized hand crew before hooking up the bucket for water drops.

This image is of a member of that crew hiking into the active fire area.

Man, that's an unfortunate event, but excellent photos to document the efforts of the firefighters.

#2 is your best photo of the grouping. It shows the emotion of inevitable devastation
