Puppy Dogs and Kitty Cats

I'd like to appologize in advance for the photo-dump. I just really love animals, particularly dogs.

I've been on an animal kick (no, not literally) this week since the local animal shelter is having all kinds of volunteer and fundraising opportunities.

I want one of these dogs so badly. So smart and personable.

This dog, I believe, is blind. One of the volunteers said he just has cataracts but I really think he's just....blind.
His eyes have that steely, marble quality and the pupils aren't visible.

This was the most pitiful looking Chihuaha I've ever seen. Totally opposite from their usual personality.

This isn't a very good photo but I thought it was just funny. Doggie photo-bomb!

This is the epitome of cat personalities right here. "Day 203, the humans do not suspect a thing. My plans for escape are almost complete."

Now this dog had some pretty incredible eyes. I know really an ultra-super-rare occurrence for a dog to have two different colored eyes, but this dog had one of THE BLUEST eyes I've ever seen in a human or animal.

Awwww...It's so heartbreaking to see so many animals that need homes. I would take them all if I could. Nice job!

Thank! Yeah, I really hope that they do. Some have been there for a while which is sad.

And then there are some that are so scarred by human abuse (I assume) that they are just incredibly hostile or reclusive when it comes to human interaction. Those weren't at the walk but there are plenty at the shelter.
