Really? Thank you very much, that is encouraging. What I love as I am getting to the point of very little post work other than a crop. Amazing what a little practice does. I really want a camera with 100% viewfinder. Shot with a PS Canon SX60HS.

Good stuff, #3 is my fav. These have more character than your normal flower pix. What is #3, protea, thistle, artichoke? You are using light and shadows well. The Iris is the weakest image, I crop out the bunny ears.

Thanks. I believe (99%) it's a sea thistle. Gorgeous flower, bee's love it. I have a pic of it with a bumble bee but didn't care for the whole composition, bee moved to a weird spot as I was pressing the shutter. I captured some real nice flowers that time out. Have many more.

Yes really. Amateurs have a tendency to miss the depth of field with floral closeups. You hit it right on the nose. Exposures are right on. The crops are perhaps slightly tight but that is a matter of preference. It doesn't get any better than that. It isn't about the camera. It is about the person operating it.
