Putting out the fire

A DCNR heliocopter dips it's bucket into the local Central Pennsylvania mountain lake I was kayaking on to help extinguish a nearby wildfire that had been burning since the previous day. A small plane was acting as his spotter/area security. By 4:30 that afternoon the dark smoke had disappeared, and I learned later the fire was under contol. Fortunately, heavy rains that evening helped.
