Question about client posting images!!

Spend a little time determining what the optimum "settings" for facebook are and then send your client two versions; the high-res version and the facebook version. Once you know what the optimal parameters are, it will take you virtually no extra time, and your clients get a "free bonus" as well.

Market yourself on it too - high quality JPEGs of your photos and a free web-ready version for display on social media websites! Just spend an evening going through common social media sites and get a filesize and process that gives you a working shot that will upload and look good on the likes of Facebook/twitter/google+ and whatever else people use and then give them that.

Educate the client that they will have to use that version because of compression; don't get too far into detail that you confuse them; just enough so that they understand which to use and when. You might also want to stick a notepad file in with the photos to explain again (helpful if they happen to take the shots and not use them for a while and would thus forget your earlier advice).

Facebook still offers High Quality uploading as an option...but..the person who uploads the image must have that option enabled, otherwise, there's gonna be a down-rezzing. Also...on larger files, like say 2,000-pixel wide images, the displayed image will be low-resolution; users will need to hover over the Options menu, then pull down to Download, and then the full-sized image will be sent to the viewer's computer as a download, with very good, even excellent image quality.
