I'm not sure I get the title, but I do like the image, it's interesting. What are they, sponges?

C&C -wise, the little black squigglely-thing at the top corner of the right sponge (?) draws my eye away from the subject.

Thanks for the comments BlackSheep (are you really?). This is a close-up of two peeled-off stickers on the top of a newspaper box, one of my usual kinds of subjects, and I thought they looked like animated figures of some sort. For what it's worth, the small black mark you mention, along with the other marks between the white figures, seemed to me to tie them together (hence "question and answer").

Heh, yep, I am indeed the black sheep of my family! But that's ok, lots of other people like me, ha ha.

Ah, now that I know what they are, I see it! Actually, now it reminds me of those old flip books, you know where you flip the pages really fast and the little guy runs along. Now the black squiggle makes sense too.
