Questions about editing

hello there, i'm not much of a photographer myself, my friend is and he's asked me to do some editing on a few pictures of his since i have a copy of Photoshop CC. i'm trying to edit some photos to achieve this look (one, two, three) and i'm having mixed results trying to get that nice vintage look. right now i'm using a combination of noise and tweaks to vibrance and levels. what's the best way to go about achieving this effect?
