I have a feeling that you're going to shoot this anyway, but the fact that she's 17 still makes her a minor. True it is an underwear thing and no genitals are going to be shown, but why risk it or even the "idea" of something else.
If you want to see little girls jump around in their undies, you're already taking the risk of just being there. But don't break out the camera until she's 18. 5 year olds, 10 year olds, 15 or even 17 year olds are still legally minors. They can still cause big trouble.
Also, don't kid yourself to think that the parents will not find out. They'll show a friend the shots who will show another friend and somewhere down the line, some friend will have the since to tell her mother; "Some guy took photos of this girl I know..." and that parent will do the right thing.
Now... strictly speaking as a father who has taken photos of ADULTS once in his career that would make you blush, I would hold absolutely no sympathy for you at all and would prosecute you to the extent that you would never be allowed anyway near a child. I'm not saying this because I dislike you, I do. I have followed some of your posts here. I also think you're doing the right thing to ask our opinions. But there will be more chances later on if you feel that being a red blooded male, full of testosterone, photographer that you are just need to take booty shots.
