Quick! What lens to bring to Mount Washington?

So I'm going to the summit of Mount Washington this afternoon and I'm wondering lens I should bring with me. I haven't been to a summit of a mountain, especially the tallest one in northeastern US before and I can't decide what I should bring with me.

I thought about just bringing my 20 1.8 and 70-200. But I also have my 16-35 as well, even though I'm selling it..I wouldn't mind using it for this purpose.

The problem is that it's going to be chilly and windy..but weather will be good with high visibility today. So changing lenses in a windy environment is not something I do too often lol.

For anyone who has shot from a summit of a mountain, especially a tall one...what lens or lenses you would bring? Any tips would be appreciative as well

Seriously though I'd imagine 16-35. If you bring the 20 and something is wide you're outta luck. If something is far away well cropping is always an option

Agree, 16-35. Also, definitely the 70-200, if you have space and don't mind the weight. Don't take the 20 if you take the 16-35.

Seriously though...it's a tough decision between the 20 and 16-35 because the 20 produces so much better colors, it just pops more than the 16-35. Probably because it has less elements.

Seriously though...it's a tough decision between the 20 and 16-35 because the 20 produces so much better colors, it just pops more than the 16-35. Probably because it has less elements.

If you want to take the 20, instead, go for it. If you need to crop to get in closer, just crop. If you need to get wider, stitch them together in post.

Don't let the equipment ruin your experience.

I've been up there and it's spectacular! Is it going to be clear today? It's cloudy and rainy here in MA. How are you getting up there? The drive up/down was one of the scariest rides I've ever taken. I'd take the both zooms. There is/was a gift shop and facilities up there so you should be able to change lenses indoors if you're worried about the wind. Dress warm it's going to be freezing up there! Bring gloves. Looking forward to your pics. Maybe a pano at 200mm?

It's just something I haven't really shot before, so it's something new to experience!

Yeah, this afternoon is going to be very clear I guess with high visibility. About 50 degrees.

I'm taking the auto road. Not a big deal...been on even scarier roads lol.
