Nice mist thru the trees shot. My focus is on the rays and vertical lines, but that straggly tree dead center gets in my way. I don't think it creates a lead-in effect.

I couldn't disagree more. The twisted tree placed just off-center adds a REALLY interesting aspect to this image. This is the best photo I've seen you put up in a while IMO (at least that I have seen). This is both abstract and literal. The coloring works VERY well here...good choice using the yellowish tone to match the feeling of a sunset/sunrise mood. This is the type of image I DIE for. I can't poke a hole in this at all. Really really nice job dude!!!!!! It is almost simple at first glance, then you notice all the different elements working together...the rays emanating from center, the interesting "horizon"-type area along the bottom behind the trees, then finally the crooked tree off-center. Very classy image!!!

I initially thought the same Charlie, but to me, the deviating tree didn't have enough 'character' to be the interesting aspect that you see. And yes, I agree, the tone is very appealing.

Thanks man. The Rays are truly rare and intriguing to photograph. This type of wonderful light only lasted a couple minutes. Conditions have to be just right.

It doesn't matter what anyone else says.. Shots like these where light rays shine through trees (or should I say crepuscular rays ) get me every time, just looks so beautiful!
