Hi All-
I've been wanting to take photos at the park near my house for a while. We go for walks with our daughter and I almost always see sun rays flowing through the trees at golden hour.
Yesterday, my wife was playing football and I was Mr. Dad. As I was pushing the stroller around the park I saw the rays again- but this time I brought my camera! I wanted to bracket, but didn't have a tripod with me (and it was windy so I was afraid of ghosting anyway) so I used aperture-priority mode, set it to f/11 and used the stroller to stabilize the camera. In LR I made my edits, created 2 more virtual copies and changed their exposure values (-1 and +1)- I shot in RAW so it worked out fine. Ran them through photomatix and moved the sliders to try to make it more natural rather than overcooked. Finished the edits in LR.
I used the adjustment brush to lighten the rays just slightly. Otherwise, it was truly very "atmospheric" and warm.
