its a little bright for my taste, but i really like the lights reflecting in the water in the background

I like the colour and the reflections in the water. My only "nit" is that you have placed the "horizon" almost right in the middle of the image. This is not usually something that is done - check out "rule of thirds" for horizon placement.

Right, now that you mentioned it. I should have shot it to include less sky and place the horizon in the upper 1/3. Thanks!

Thanks. Yes, the whole shadow of the tree could have been captured if I placed the horizon on the upper 1/3 of the frame.

I love it. How long was this exposure and what time did you shoot it? If you achieved that amazing blue tone without photoshopping it, I'd love to hear more details. I'd love to shoot such pics someday myself.

Thanks! I shot it around 5::20AM, about 30 minutes before the sun shows up in the horizon. exposure is 30 secs...
