Reaching Out [CONCEPTUAL PHOTOGRAPHY]

uhm, the concept is ok but it's execution not so well. Did you think about getting down to the instrument's level and include all of it? Why didn't you think it wise to edit instead of posting SOOC?

Right, concept is based on personal possessions. What I tried to portray was the death of my violin as I've had for such a long time in my life, hence I chose an interesting setting to convey my message better. Here there's another picture related to this:It's the end | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Trever, in this photo I am about at the instruments level but I thought I had pretty decent amount of detail and environment of the graveyard. Personally I didn't really see a point of an edit, but if you think it does need one please show me or point out where it does.

I thought someone died, and they liked the violin or something. Did not think the violin itself died lol.

I don't get it either... is it supposed to represent the "Death of Music?"

Or is it symbolic of the fact that the dead can't hear music?

Or possibly that instrument is past it's prime, and you are going to bury it?

Or maybe a ZOMBIE symphony? LOL!

Yes.. I am teasing a bit... but I really don't get the meaning here! Please elucidate verbosely! ;)

The lighting kills it. Spotty shadows, no fill light, hot flower....

Well it's supposed to be a series of images, I understand that this on it own may not convey the whole message properly. But I mean it's open to different interpretations so you can think of it however you want. Alright, to put it short, firstly the project is called 'personal possessions' hence the violin. Secondly I've had that violin for about 7 years and I still don't know how to play due to various reasons :P So basically I was trying to portray the death of the violin AND the death of myself hence the graveyard. But CGIPSON I loved those interpretations :D

And really? One of my favourite aspects of the photo was the lighting that was created, I think the fact that it was imperfect made the shot better, but how would I be able to improve this TECHNICALLY guys?
