realistic price for a canon 40D

I see prices between $1100 & $1200 on Amazon or B&H for new bodies, then I see prices around $900 for "like new" bodies on ebay or craigslist, but places like this give you prices under $600:

If your looking for the cheapest possible route, ebay and craiglist are usually it, though it comes with a risk. Sometimes you can get a once in a lifetime deal through combined rebates and such, but it's rare and unlikely.

Hey guys!! Looks like the Canon 40D is in the season..I agree amazon and ebay do offer good prices.But I'm not very sure of the quality coz sometimes the deal is too good to be true.Anyways my sister is going to buy the Canon 40d very soon as she is in love with this camera. I am sure she'll find the best deal and as soon as she does I'll let you know guys..
