Oooo! Very cool. The puffer fish is totally posing for you!

These look very nice. Thanks for sharing.

WesternGuy

Thanks! First time I have taken a camera underwater since about 1988... so I am not too unhappy! Cheesy little point and shoot in a housing.

Beauties! I have one day left to try to make a couple shots like this.

Thanks, Majeed! You dive, amigo? Looking forward to seeing some shots!

I love the turtle.

Where was this? I was going to comment about the quality of the photo. I am glad it was a point and shoot :).

The camera was a Sealife DC1400, 14mp, and decent for what it is. One of the least expensive ways to get back into underwater photography! A full housing / strobe setup for my D800 would run about 7 grand or so... not doing that! ;) Do you have any underwater shots, Robin?? Would love to see them!

Geez man.. you are so touchy lately.

Don't mean to be, Robin... it just seems like you are pretty negative lately (! Not the fun loving Schwetty we used to know and love! Maybe you should have used the "Sarcasm" font, if you were teasing! I just read it at face value.. so I apologize if I misread it! So easy to do online!) ;)

I am already planning on upgrading the camera, housing and strobe... going to go cheap, and it will still cost me three grand or so. These are OK... they are not great, I admit!

I am trying to get a film underwater camera though. Maybe take pics of the kids swimming... can I show that instead? LOL

You can pick up an old Nikono's fairly cheap, and for a pool would not need any color correction or strobe. Past 10' feet or so, you would either need a strobe, or a Magic filter (red) as that is first color to go. That would be a lot of fun, with your little lovelies!
