cool lighting effects on the last few -- was it done with flash to freeze the subject and slow ss to get the background light effects? what are those in the back, anyways? some of them seem randomly placed, lol (esp. on the very last one) but maybe it adds to the crazy mood

The shots you are talking about were done using a slow shutter speed and a flash. None of the lights were added in. It all varied depending on where the lights were in the building.
The shot you are referring to ( the groomsman hiding in the get away car) was done completely in camera. Nothing added in. Must have been the placement of the streetlights outside of the car, or small lights on the inside of the vehicle.
