Reclaimed Barn

New to photography so it's not great but, what do y'all think?

Well its a good idea but there is allot of stuff in the photo that is distracting you from the barn which is not Ideal, In a photo like this well you cant do much about the distracting stuff. I think it cold have potential but it appears to be either really soft or not quite in focus. if that was not a issue with the right processing I think this could be pretty good.

If you are new to photography it will take a little while to get the hang of things so just keep at it. on something like this you want to make sure the camera is focused on the bar its self and not the surrounding bushes or trees.

Needs more barn, less brush. A shot done from INSIDE the old barn might look really cool! The way this is shown, there's just not a lot of genuine visual interest for me, a disinterested third party some 2,000-odd miles away.

Yeah I agree with the brush being distracting, though there's not much that I can do about it. I feel like it's not quite in focus, too.

I might go take a few shots from different perspectives sometime and see what I can come up with. Thanks

I always set my camera to single point focus, that way I can use the arrow buttons to move the focus point to any spot I want. letting the camera decide what to focus on is not always the best idea. sometimes it works, sometimes it does not work. not sure if you camera has that option or not but if it does that is usually the way to do it.

I just got this camera Sunday, but I think it does. When I was shooting I didn't have it set to that, though. Next time I'll do that.
