Red Canoe, Lake Louise

Still working through the images from my Canadian Rockies trip. Not all of them are reflection shots.

That's cool. Almost like they're in a kaleidoscope (a really big one...lol).

This is a nice shot. The red of the canoe really stands out nicely.

Had there been a way to catch them in a patch of sun, this would have been even more exceptional. Then you wouldn't have had to pull up the shadows so far, losing some contrast all around.

Just a thought but a little work in both the green and blue channels will allow the red canoe to stand out as it is now, but also give more definition to the surroundings. I will be there on the 20th of August and am looking forward to shots like this of my own.

Absolutely right. But I just wouldn't give up on this one.
