Red Fox Portrait

I took this a couple of years ago in the early morning shadows. A fox den was just outside the east entrance to Yellowstone Park at Buffalo Bill Cody's old hunting lodge. Guess I'm tired of winter... I'm looking at spring pictures again...

Beauty of a shot and a fantastic subject as well
Might consider cropping some of the dark top section off just to focus a little more on the fox and to lose the dead space (makes him feel a little bigger in the shot).

What really gets me is his paws - they look far larger and more furred out (winter coat maybe) than I tend to see on UK foxes at least - big padded paws there)

Saw this one in Naturscapes too. Very inquisitive look on his face. It gives this Fox great character.
