Actually I really like the composition, I think the issue is the black being too black. And that is a really common problem with RWBB. I have tried and failed to take a good picture of them many times, it really takes the right light to get good detail with them. Hope that helps :thumbup:

Thanks, Bill. I was able to being out some detail in the top pic in post but your right. They are very dark!

cool, nice shot. i got a nice photo of a black bird with red wings too when i lived in Tennessee there was a park and i would often see them there.

I did my best given that the sun was behind the mountain. Plus, I was enjoying the display they were giving me. Definatley different than the typical bird on a branch pic you usually see(not that there is anything wrong with that!).
