Red X question

Can anyone tell me why I am getting a red X more and more offten? Most of the threads I open now and all the pics that I post all i get for pics is the Red X. Now I am not saying anything bad about the Red X or who ever made the pic but give others a chance to show there shoots off.
Can anyone tell me what is going on?

The new phpbb code doesn't allow images without the file extension at the end of it. Plus people are still posting pics from sites that don't allow hotlinking.

It's really cheap to make a donation and get gallery webspace. Then you can post all the pics you want.
