Oh wow, nice shot.

If I had to nit pick, I would clone out a couple of the distracting spots around the photo. Mostly the spot on the dock in the foreground and the spots behind him. Then the white spot above his head, the whatever that is on the right hand side of the far end of the dock, the 2 black spots in the background.

If you did that I think this would be a wall hanger.

Nice scene setting, great composition--subject placement. I like the clothing style and color--it translates to grey scale nicely.

However, the overall B&W conversion needs work--it's too flat--there's no reference black.

BTW, was he just playing with a stick or was this an attempt at play fishing? This reminds me of one of our studio promotions we called "Gone Fishin" where I made up some bamboo fishing poles with string, floats and weights and we brought kids to small streams with nice background folliage and had soooo much fun with our clients kids!

This is precious moment you captured well Done. I agree on the grey scale mentioned above but maybe bring down highlights some. Then frame it and hang it.

I wanted to do some of that but at the end I didn't... I forgot it Thanks!

I wanted this in color at first but it didn't work, then I played with bw. More contrast, less contrast, darken this and darken that, lighten this and lighten that, having black, not having black, but somehow whatever I tried didn't feel right as this edit... Thanks!

I haven't done anything. I said that I tried before this edit all sorts of things... but, it's nice to hear this
