Hello everybody.

When i got my camera I neglected to get one with a remote shutter system.

I have found a third party trigger on line and what to know what you think.

I am looking at the "Cactus Wireless Shutter Release" from gadgetinfinity.com. Has anyone had any problems with this or any other options. Your help is appreciated.

Canon makes a remote switch for your camera, the RS-60E3. Nothing like getting what Canon made for your equipement.

Without looking, I'd guess that the Canon remote is many times more expensive than the Cactus trigger. If this is something to play around with, I'd recommend the Cactus, but if reliability is more important to you, I'd go with the Canon or possibly a set Pocket Wizards.

Should have been more specific i want a wireless shutter system.

I have the wireless release from gadget infinity for my Nikon cameras and they work fine,
If you are just looking for a release it is great, the nikon one for the D700 is over $150, the one from gadget infinity is about $30.

Check out Jerry's mod on the Cactus:

That's the flash trigger, not the remote shutter release.

Should be the same concept for alterations. Will look into it a bit more later on.
