Ugh. I am killing myself over this.

Does ANYONE know of any good tutorials for retouching EXISTING makeup?

I've searched and searched and searched and all i can find are tutorials for adding digital makeup.

I'm trying to smooth out eye shadow coloring, for example, and I just can't figure it out.

I'm trying to apply techniques that I know of for other things... like skin smoothing... what have you... and nothing looks quite right.

Any suggestions of where I could look?

KTHANXBYE!!!!!!

EDIT:

Here's a cut of the eyes of the image I'm working on.

Maybe I'm completely insane, but I have an intense want to smooth out her eyeshadow.

I'd really need to see what you are doing to know if I could help you or not.

Hahaha, I knew someone was gonna say that. I don't know why I didn't just throw it in to begin with.

Hang on...

Picture in OP! :)

Actually... I *may* have figured it out...

You could zoom in on a pixel level and fill in the white and light pixels with its surrounding color. I think because the makeup is shimmering the white pixels make it less smooth. Filling them in with a darker hue to match the colors around it may help.

Thanks for the suggestion! :)

Is is the hot spots you are trying to fix? or are you trying to lighten that one side?
The color is fairly even and natural other than the glittery spots. Don't get to nit pickety or you'll spend all of your time nit picking and it's NOT productive in the end-the client won't notice it.
