Nicely composed shot..I'd boost contrast and sharpness a tad...mebbe even a bit of saturation.

Very nice photos. I like the color saturation and lighting. I haven't ever seen those types of tomatos before.

Very nice - I like the fill-the-frame-aspect of this one. Just tomatoes and nothing but those. It should be "made eternal" in the Photo Themes. There is a Theme thread out on "The Colour Red" (or some simillar title) somewhere - probably hidden wey down in the "vaults" of the Themes, but it is there. This one would fit the theme perfectly!

If you really are a beginner, you are off to a wonderful start. The composition is great...just be mindful about too much color saturation. It's easy to do in digital work and can be distracting. You have it under control here, and it's a great picture!

Thanks for your positive comments. I have had my Fuji S5500 about seven months ago, before then I was very much a point and shoot person !

I am attending a photography class one evening a week at a local college, I am enrolled on the beginners course. In January I hope to move onto the intermediate course.

I worked hard with PS to try and get the colour balance and saturation right for this shot, but the tomatoes were very red that day !
