Robber fly and Japanese beetle

Can an admin move this to macro. Thanks

Awesome! Number 1 is as perfect as can be. Colors are special in that one. What is the yellow surface in number 1?

Thanks. I am trying to remember if it was a leaf of a plant or a petal, one of the two. I shot it in my backyard. The fly was very small less than half the size of a regular fly. I used the Raynox dcr250 on my macro lens.

I enjoyed viewing both images. Well done. I hate Japanese Beetles, they have destroyed my grapes and roses.

A Raynox on a macro ... you have the steady hands of a surgeon.

I wish. Most of the credit goes to the great IBIS.

Thank you. They are a problem everywhere throughout North America and South America. I see them everywhere.

Very nice, although the first one is NOT a robber fly.
