Rock garden help

Hello tomorrow i plan to shoot one of my neighbors rock gardens. It has a stream flowing down it.

I am looking for some technique suggestions.

Hear is a list of my hardware:
Canon XS
18-55IS lens
The pop up flash(no off camera yet)
Extra super flimsy tripod (to be replaced soon)

Any suggestions?

Try to take them at an aperture around f/6 to f/8 to get the whole stream in it. And try to keep the shutter open for enough time to show the flow of the water....

Take it in the morning or evening so you can do this without overexposing the image.

Take plenty of pictures, experiment with what works and does not work, etc.

Also, since it's your neighbor post up a few of your best, let us critique them, then you can go back and re-try anything you missed the first time.
