I am trying tp date a ROLLEIFLEX but can find nothing by searching the serial number 1072091.

According to my books, it seems that your camera could be a Rolleiflex Automat (6x6 cm format- 4 elements lens) produced between 1945 and 1949 .
Numbers between c 1000000 and c 1100000

Dany would know... The Rolleis are really nice cameras, a collector somewhere out there would likely be interested.

You are right, I only have a few of them. the prices required for these marvels have often made me cringe
