Rooftop challenge Ely Cathedral

Had fun from a friend's roof top trying to balance the glare of the floodlit Octagon with the illumination of the rest of the Cathedral by the sodium street lighting.

Clouds lit by moonlight was a bonus.

Went for a meeting and had paperwork but no tripod! Will remember next time!

1/5 second- Hand held in the freezing wind we are having was not to be recommended. Helped by wedging camera against the railing on the rooftop patio. Even a tripod would have needed some weight! ISO 1250 did help.

I would like to take some shots inside but its like £7 or something!

Local indeed - this is the view I wake up to . . . . weather permitting!

I am a friend of the Cathedral, so miss out on the charges fortunately.
