A gap in the cruddy weather allowed me some time outside, and I blew through dozens of shots...trying this and that. All raw, trying to keep the white balance straight (to say nothing of the horizons), realizing the limits of me as well as my lens.
I have decided to stick with the 35mm lens for a while, to get to really know it, and the settings that create (hopefully) better images. Once I got home, there was one image in particular that required nothing except a resize for posting here. No cropping, no tweaking whatsoever. Now, I realize that it likely needs *something* ( butterfly? a perfect blossom? adjustment on color/f/stop?) - but I felt it should stand on its own, for a minute or two, just to allow myself the (slightly giddy) feeling of getting an image closer to "right" than I have before. Then, back to the grindstone...
