Rounding the Narrows - Newfoundland - C&C Welcome!

[ZachOly]

This was initially a throwaway picture, but I decided to give it an edit in ACR.

I'm pretty please with how this came out all in all.

The picture is of a Canadian Coat Guard zodiac rounding the narrows in St. John's, for what I assume is a training run. Some big waves were hitting against the shore line, although it was relatively calm.

it's amazing how blue the ocean is near there eh?

some mighty big swells even on a nice day! lol but nice recovery for a "throwaway shot".

Not a bad photo at all, but I really don't like that white border you put on it.

Maybe its for a postcard...

I tried it without the rough edges, but the picture looked really flat and uninteresting.

I found the edges help to narrow the focus. But it's not something I plan on doing often.
