This is St. Mary's in Whitby. The churchyard is home to many of the local residents (no crows but a fair few seagulls). Bram Stoker wrote his famous novel 'Dracula' facing the old church from accross the River Esk. There is also the Bargest Coach that is said to haunt the churchyard. Anyone wanting more info on it let me know and I will post the story on my site at sometime.

Thank you deveel ..... Whitby is my Jerusalem .. my spritual home .... the place I can sit .. look over the water .. and be at peace. The Abbey is one place I covert as my own place to feel close to God (not that I am overly religious or owt like that) I have visited Israel (Jerusalem and Bethlehiem) and Although I found it to be a wonderful place. Whitby and it's abbey hold me under it's spell .. always has ... always will ...

Visit it some time ..... You won't be disappionted.
