Same person in multiple shots in a pic

How is this done? I saw a pic on here where a guy was playing poker against himself, but there were four of them, then there was one where a guy was going to punch himself with cards flying everywhere.

Is it simply tripod>(x) amount of shoots> layer in photoshop? i can't even find an example pic, don't know how to word it....

I certainly recommend a tripod...but all you really need is for the camera to remain stationary...so you could use a table, a counter etc. You could use a bean bag or something to help position it...get creative.

...except in the case of our friend Atreus... in his case, he needs multiple girls, not multiple exposures. :lmao:
