The Santa Fe National Cemetery opened in 1870 and has 60,000 interments. Here are a few pictures from my visit last month:

It is one of the more impressive cemeteries that I have visited in all of my road trips.

In photo no 2, the trees on the hillside in the upper rh corner.
Their marker is about 100 feet away from there to the south. (to the right off photo.)


Its a nice site.

Thank you...

I visited the Punchbowl a couple of years ago. The thing that surprised me is that the gravestones are flat to the ground--for easier maintenance I suppose. This made it harder for me to come up with various compositions there.
