Saving Abel - Concert for the Angels 04-20-13

Here are some pics from last Saturday night's event...the Concert for the Angels. A benefit concert in honor of the two young girls who were kidnapped and murdered from my town. The concert was headlined by Saving Abel and opened with a couple local bands, Lotus and Never the Less. The concert also honored all of the law enforcement who tirelessly put in their time and dedication towards finding the girls. It was a really good event and a good cause; I'm friends with the families involved and it feels good to help give back.

Sorry, I shot most of these tight. While I understand that most band pics usually include wider shots, I wanted to capture more emotion this time around.

Nice shots - did you have a press pass and photo pit? I just covered them a couple weeks ago at a small venue here in NC. I'm a little annoyed with myself because my photos of the opening band (Art of Dying) came out better than the ones I got of Saving Abel.

This thread really touches me. Having children is a gift, and I can't imagine what those girls' families must be going through. I think you did a MASTERFUL job, capturing the tone, emotion and sentiment of the concert. Thanks for sharing!
