Saving to "Working RGB"

Hi Emilymarie,

You posted a screen shot of your computer running Photoshop and displaying the mismatched profile dialog. In that screen shot you have 1/2 dozen photos open and they were originally CR2 (RAW) files. You can't get those files into Photoshop without going through the ACR.

You start in Bridge and double click on a photo with a CR2 extension. It then opens is the Adobe Camera Raw converter. You see the photo center screen and a multi-colored histogram in the upper right corner -- down the right side are a set of sliders to adjust the photo. At the bottom right you can select Open Image, Cancel or Done. If you select Open Image the photo is moved to Photoshop for additional editing.

It's in this stage before you select Open Image that the color space is determined. At the center bottom of the screen the color space that will be assigned is listed. You can change that.

Those files you saw were already opened in bridge then right clicked to " open in camera Raw then from Camera RAW i selected them all to open in PS. This not my problem. I have been PP RAW images for over a year now.

Anyways, ok I found what you are talking about, what color space should they be? right now is says adobe rgb 1998

great. thx! Is there a way dt make this the defalt? So this should fix my original problem of the dull flat colors I had if I didnt do the whole edit---convert to profile---save as working SRGB for EVERY image before saving them

When you're in Camera Raw and you can see at the center bottom of the screen the color space in blue -- click on that and a dialog box will open. There you can set a default value.
