How do i get shutter speeds quicker then 1/60 in A priority?

With D50 and D200 that is the max i know how to achieve. I know its something easy but we will see

I have the D80 and that's one of the "Custom" settings. It affects A and P modes.

Why not use a different mode? I use Manual when shooting with flash...much easier to deal with but still versatile to be useful in a fast paced situation.

you know, i played with settings forever and never thought to use manual with the flash.
