SB900 set up with D200

how do i calibrate the sb900 to work with the d200 wirelessly!!

i did have the flash triggering, but the timing seemed to be out, now i've managed to sod it up so the flash don't go off at all!!

also does anyone know a good tripod/unbrella stand which i can use with the sb900

make sure the built in flash in the D200 is set to Commander (it'll be an option in the flash settings menu), and make sure you DON'T have the SB900 set to SU-4. The misfiring is probably because of that.. SU-4 mode is an optical slave that's triggered by any flash output, and the way CLS fires flashes is with a monitor, or pre-flash. The pre-flash sets off the optical slave, causing the SB900 to fire early. Could be something else.. but try that..

i checked the settings it's not set to SU-4

also i am having trouble trying to set the d200 to commander i have been looking through the flash/bracket menu but nothings jumping out at me, i also can't seem to find any channel settings on the camera, i have set the flash to gr A and channel 1
