scan to digital

I have 2 photo albums that I want to have scanned to a digital format. The photos where taken with a standard 35mm camera, so they are not real high quality. Anyone have recommendations of where to send them. I have looked at a few web sites and it looks like it will cost around 30-40 cents per photo. Any help or comments is appreciated.

I'm unfamiliar with doing this but I would think trying to find a local place might be safer if these are your only copies of photos you value. Is there a good camera store near you that scans photos? They might be more committed to your satisfaction as well.
