Scott Kelly Digital photography books

I have a d3100, and was thinking about getting some books to help me along in understanding my camera. Do any of you with a d3100 have these books? I've heard good stuff about them but just wanted to make sure they were helpfull with this camera, Thanks.

yeah, great for beginners. That was the exact camera I started with, and his series really helped. I also liked J. Dennis Thomas' guide to the D3100 as well.

My son is getting me the book by Thomas, I also have a gift cert. that I thought of getting the Kelly books with if they helped with this camera, Thanks
