Scratched LCD :[

As the title states, I scratched the glass panel over my D90's LCD. It's not so deep that it cracked the glass, but deep enough that it won't buff out. Any suggestions on good filler products? I was thinking of using an automotive windshield repair resin product.

There is nothing you can do. Oh well.. at least it wont affect your photo. You can replace the LCD but it is not worth it.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. Digital camera bodies will be obsolete in a few years, so what's the point of keeping them pristine? Lenses and film cameras on the other hand..

I agree with the others ... the only thing it hurts is resale value. Are you planning on selling the body?

Is the panel actually glass, or plastic? I would think any of the automotive fillers would work as well as they do on a car (some work, some don't), but I don't think it's necessary unless you're trying to sell the camera.

Duh, I feel silly now, of course it's plastic.

If I care that much I'll just buy a replacement one and switch it out myself. I'm more bugged at the fact that it gets in the way of my instant feedback.

I would try to fill it before buying a new one. If it doesn't work, you can still just buy a new one. If it does work, you'll save some money.

Is it the LCD screen itself or the snap-on plastic protector over it?
