Searching for a Specific TYPE of Photograph

Hi Gang,

I'm building a website at the moment that requires a specific type of photo to fit into the page design and I have no idea what term to use when searching for this genre online or in stock libraries. Maybe there isn't a a term for it but here goes my attempt at the explanation and purpose:

I want images that can sit in a banner that stretches right across the computer screen. I want the subject of each banner picture to be a single woman or a group of woman but they must be very central and the background must be very big and stretch out to the edges of the screen. That means if one looks at the website on a tablet or mobile device that the central subject will remain well in view of the browser, but when viewed on a widescreen say perhaps a 21" or 27" that the picture's background stretches right out to the edges to create a real sense of space. All I can think of to google is "single subject with panoramic background" - but I'm coming up short. Any thoughts, advice, guidance or questions for further clarity would be much appreciated.

You should use Java to create your website, or flash maybe. It's not the picture that you need to look for, it's how it's coded onto your webpage. Pictures are what they are, they're a finite number of pixels that will display in whatever size you tell whatever program displaying them to display them.

You want to create a responsive website. It allows the content of your website to work on all devices no matter the screen size.

Just do a google for "responsive design."
