Seem to end up in flat country: NL to TX

:thumbup:Hi. New. Moved to Texas (Dallas area) from Netherlands. I seem to end up in flat country, but miss the mountains and the sea. Love the outdoors. Getting back into photography. Or should I say, making another attempt. I will buy a Nikon D90 soon, although there are rumors that Nikon will announce a replacement in February 2010. Anybody heard anything?

Also, what advice do you have to put a D90 kit together. Thinking of 18-105 Nikor and already have 100-300 Nikkor. How about SD Card? D90 with 18-105 is $1100 in local store. Any special advice on price or other gear? Lenses?

I use a Macintosh. Apple iPhoto or Nikon software?
