Hello everyone.

I know I am new here, but I would like to sell my Nikon D3 as I am converting to Canon. The full package has the following included:

Nikon D3 with a total of 15000 exposures (roughly)
Nikkor 14-24mm f2.8
Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VR
Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8 AF-S
Nikon SB-900 flash with softbox kit
Two 16gb SD cards
Two extra original batteries
All the original packaging
and a camera bag which fits everything

This whole bag has been my camera equipment for the last year, but I got a new job, and with it comes a brand new Canon camera, which I simply love. So, I will sell this one as it is no longer needed. The camera and the lenses appear as brand new. I always take the utmost care of all my equipment, as I hate scratches and all other kinds of wear and tear. The camera was also cleaned only 3 months back as well at a retail Nikon store in San Francisco.

You might say that "oh he is new, cant trust him", well, we are all new at some point. If you feel that you cant trust me, then dont shop from me. Nothing I can do to change that.

But if it makes you feel better, here is the link to my facebook fan page: http://www.facebook.com/GksPhotoStudios and I also only sell with Paypal as payment, so you are secured that way as well.

Also, I am a Norwegian national, living in Norway. The camera and everything included is in California, more accurately in San Francisco. It will be shipped from there. I left it there when I left the US a month back to start my new job here in Norway. Thats also why there is no images yet. I will post them when I can get them from my friend in San Francisco.

The selling price is 4000 USD. This price is non negotiable, as it is a bargain already.

Let me know if you are interested.

I am not sure abut how much the shipping fee is, but it can't be that much. Depends on where you are located of course.

Asked if I could pick the camera up in SF, here was the response. It's a scam.

I am sure I can arrange for you to pick it up in San Francisco. Payment has to be made through Paypal though, as its my only way of actually getting the money for this, as I live in Norway. Payment is to my paypal account which is toadtje@broadpark.no. When that has been made, give me a place of choice to meet up with him, and Ill call him up and tell him to meet you there at your time and place of choosing.

Oh thats neat. I have my preferred payment method and then i am a scammer? Jesus, what has the world come to .... stop accusing people you know nothing about. If you dont like it, walk away. Besides, I am Paypal verified for ages already, got business account, and you sir is a douche. Atleast have some proof before you start down that road.

You can't be mad at people for needing a little more evidence. FFS you didn't even post a picture of the gear. Scammers seem to be a common problem around here. Get used to sceptic people. Get a little tougher skin. Then try again. Me personally? Im calling scam.

You guys are paranoid.

Let me tell you a scam. A scam would be using a payment method that actually would leave no trace to myself. Like Western Union, which is commonly used for scams, as well as Moneygram and a host of other instant transfer services. Unless you didn't read up on the scammer 101, using Paypal is actually quite lame in comparison. I gave my Facebook, which has an established fanbase, I have a verified paypal account going 7 years, and my name is fully visible on my paypal as well as on my facebook. Would be a poor way to scam someone in my book, since all evidence are there to prosecute my ass and get me jailed for a long time. So your logic is flawed. I can also give the buyer a copy of my passport, so if I were to scam you, give it to my embassy and you can have me arrested (its illegal to scam people here in Norway as well).

So I am coming here, I want to sell my gear, and all I get is grief. No wonder this world is going to ****. Have some faith.

Reason I do not have pictures YET is because I am on the other side of the world, and my friend is someone with only a limited amount of time available. He said he will send me images, they will come. If you wanna wait until then, then wait. No problem.

My skin is tough enough. I just dont like accusations that has no root in reality. I can call you a scammer too then. I dont know why, or have no evidence, but still, you are a scammer too sir.

And besides, I told Brian he can pick it up in SF no problem. All I said was my own preferred payment method (so I can get the money on this side of the year). If it makes him feel safer, he can pay directly to my friend. IF I decide to sell to him, seeing as he calls me things without letting me negotiate terms even. All I am saying is that you have to be careful before accusing. Find the evidence first. Dont cry wolf before actually knowing there is a wolf in the lair.

Since someone is willing to pick it up in SF why not make arrangements for a viewing of the equipment at a safe and public place. then if all is as described the buyer could then feel more confident in the sale.

Guys, you're overreacting. Clearly this guy is legit. He has 5 whole posts, he is selling a high dollar product without a single picture, and he's located in a foreign country but is selling a product supposedly located in CA...

Seriously, what's the big deal?:lol:

OP, I'll take two, please.

James, you are the best. Good thing you know all about me then. How that is, I dont know. Never even seen you before, so it must be a miracle. Guess you are super trustworthy since you have been here for a year and are paying membership. I will tell you something, I know guys who have been supporting forums like this for years, and still scam people. Learn to have a little trust in people too. And yes, I am in Norway (oh, I am foreign? so are you to me), whats the big deal. I told the other guy he can go to San Francisco and get it if he wants to do that. But didn't get a response. Not everyone is a scammer in this world James.

You should have said the person wanting to pick up the camera equipment in San Francisco can go in person to verify that all of the equipment is in good shape and as described. Then you can goto a local cafe with the computer and your friend can watch the buyer send the money via pay pal. Then the buyer takes the camera equipment. There is no way anyone in their right mind would pay pal you for 4,000 dollars without seeing the merchandise in this situation.

Its not that we don't trust you, its that we don't trust anyone, when it comes to 4k.

I'd buy it but I have all my money tied up in this Nigerian Prince.

Parker: And this is exactly why I chose to use Paypal for this. That gives you, as a buyer, protection against fraud and scams. I been ripped off multiple times in and off ebay, and always use Paypal for my payments. Its a secured way to make sure that you dont get ripped off. I thought it would provide some protection for the buyer of my camera, but seems it didnt.

Also, I told Brian he could go to SF and pick it up and pay to my friend. I dont want the scammer stamp on my ass when I join a forum like this for the first time. I have no problem with that. The problem I have is him stamping me as a scammer immediately without even talking to me about it.

So whatever makes you secure and happy. I just wanna sell the bundle.
