I've found the playback monitor really helpful in showing clients (parents) photos they may want to order. Also have a mini portfolio you can show them samples from. $12.50 minimum. Maybe 3 shots for $30, or even $15 and 3 for $35. Have the parents point out which kids to take photos of. The time to sell is in the moment. Show the samples, get the orders, shoot the kids, show the shots, take the money and send them the photos. Get a release and use the best to improve your portfolio. Get good at it. There's big money to be made. Never give them the digital file- that's yours.
