Like you a local lab is a ways off, 32 miles to nearest town, next would be well over 50mi. When I went digital I also got my first computer and a printer. My mistake may have been the printer. 8 1/2" printer sort of limits you, but that's what it was. Today I have a 13" Canon photo printer and picture's better than ever and huge plus, don't have to drive 100 mi round trip the get them. Have sold a number of print's at bird dog field trials out of the back of an enclosed trailer powered with a mobile generator.Thank you for your reply.
I also forgot to add, there is no "local lab" for me, at least not one that I am aware of. I live in a rural area, 20 miles from the nearest town. The closest photo lab is likely in "the city" that is about 80 miles away.
But if I can not find other options, that 80 mile trip might be in my future.
I've never sold a picture on line. Don't know near enough about those computer's and getting set up and at my age I could just about be there and drop dead! I think the time to try and start a photography business is when your young and have plenty of time to learn, I'm pushing 80 awful hard! The idea that I have sold some photo's doesn't mean I could sell enough to have it pay the bills. My name ain't out there. You have a big advantage in a wife with a degree in finance. Don't give up your day job to start!
